Two thousand twenty-five has been a year of growth and progress for the Osborne County Community Foundation (OCCF), thanks to the leadership and dedication of our board of directors. As the year rolls on, we want to provide an update on our leadership team and opportunities to serve.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Ginger Howell (Alton) for her service to the OCCF board and to Osborne County. Her leadership and commitment have made a huge impact. At the August board meeting, the board accepted her resignation, creating an opening in the chair position.
That role has been filled by Heather Hancock (Downs), who has stepped into the chair position. Heather’s previous role as vice chair is now being carried forward by Alyssa Carswell (Alton). The board also welcomed Mike Adams (Alton), who will fulfill Ginger’s remaining term as a member of the board.
We are also pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for three board openings representing Osborne, Portis, and Natoma. Terms are three years, with the option of serving an additional three-year term. The board meets on the third Tuesday evening of each month.

Board members help shape our initiatives, review grants, and cast a vision for the future of Osborne County. While members represent our individual communities, they serve with the greater purpose of creating a vital and sustainable future for our county as a whole.
Applications are due November 1, 2025. Those interested in applying can download the application here.
