Impact Day is Coming – Here’s What You Need to Know

We’re getting excited about the upcoming Impact Day — and we’ve started receiving lots of great questions about what it is, how it works, and how to get involved. So let’s dive in!

What is Impact Day?

Impact Day is a one-day giving event designed to support local organizations, projects, and initiatives that have established charitable endowed funds with the Osborne County Community Foundation (OCCF). For just one day — Friday, September 19 — online and in-person giving will be open, and every participating fund will receive a share of a $25,000 matching pool, thanks to OCCF and the Patterson Family Foundation.

How Does the Match Work?

Each participating endowed fund will receive a proportional share of the $25,000 match, based on how much it raises during the day. The more a fund raises, the bigger its share of the pool. However, to ensure fairness and wide community benefit, no single fund can receive more than half of the matching funds — that’s a $12,500 maximum per fund.

Match Month vs. Impact Day

We often get asked how Impact Day compares to Match Month — and here’s the difference:

• Match Month (held each February) is focused on building OCCF’s community grant fund, which supports projects across Osborne County through a competitive grant process.

• Impact Day is all about helping specific organizations and causes that already have endowed funds with OCCF. It’s a chance to strengthen those funds — and their futures — through donations and matching dollars.

Both events are about investing in our county’s future. But Impact Day is your opportunity to directly support the organizations you care about most.
