Your Legacy Starts in 2026

A new year is here—a fresh opportunity to plan for the future. While estate planning protects your family, it can also create a lasting impact on the community you love.

Through the Osborne County Community Foundation (OCCF), you can leave a legacy that supports Osborne County for generations.

How to Give

  • Include OCCF in your will—a simple way to leave a percentage or fixed amount to the community.

  • Name OCCF as a beneficiary of your life insurance or IRA. You can split gifts between family and community.

  • Set up a fund agreement to specify how your gift is managed and distributed, ensuring it reflects your wishes.

Stewardship Counseling: Plan with Confidence

OCCF, via a partnership with the Dane G. Hansen Foundation, participates in the Stewardship Counseling program with estate planning attorney John Griffin, JD. This program is designed to help residents include charitable gifts in their estate plans. This free service helps you:

  • Outline a plan for a new or updated estate plan with a charitable gift.

  • Coordinate with your attorney to complete your documents.

  • Review final documents with John to make sure your intentions are clear.
