What Is OCCF Impact Day?
How Your Gift Can Make an Even Bigger Impact
September 25, 2026, is the Osborne County Community Foundation's second annual Impact Day—a special day designed to encourage giving to local endowed funds while making those gifts go further through a shared matching opportunity.
This year, $25,000 in matching funds is available for gifts made to participating OCCF endowed funds. It’s an opportunity to support a cause, organization, or community you care about while helping build the long-term charitable resources available right here in Osborne County.
How Does Impact Day Work?
Impact Day is centered around OCCF's participating endowed funds. Donors can make a gift to one or more of the participating funds during the Impact Day giving period, and the total gifts received by each fund will be used to determine its share of the $25,000 matching pool.
Online giving opens at 12 a.m. Thursday, September 24, and remains open through 11:59 p.m. Friday, September 25. This two-day online giving window gives donors an opportunity to make their Impact Day gift before and throughout September 25.
Donors can also participate by making in person gifts September 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sims Event Center downtown Osborne, including gifts of grain. Grain gifts provide another way for area producers to support the endowed fund of their choice and participate in Impact Day.
The matching dollars will be proportionally distributed based on the amount each participating fund receives in donations. In other words, the more a fund receives in eligible Impact Day donations compared with the other participating funds, the larger its share of the matching pool.
There is one important limitation: no individual fund can receive more than half of the total matching pool, or $12,500.
This structure allows every participating fund to benefit while giving donors the opportunity to help direct matching dollars toward the causes that matter most to them.
An Extra Bonus for Impact Day
There’s also an exciting bonus opportunity from the Patterson Family Foundation! In addition to the $25,000 matching pool available for participating endowed funds, Patterson will provide an additional $11,000 match to OCCF for the first $22,000 in donations received on Impact Day. That means the first $22,000 donated on Impact Day can generate an additional $11,000 for OCCF, helping strengthen the Foundation and its ability to support communities throughout Osborne County.
