The Osborne County Community Foundation invites you to show some love in February by donating to the “Love Your County” Sustainability Campaign. Gifts made during February are twice as nice as they will be matched ($5,000 cap per individual/up to $50,000 total) by the Dane G. Hansen Foundation.
This is the second year of a five year matching initiative which doubles the impact of your current gift and ensures sustainability for the future as the Hansen Foundation will add another $25,000 for administrative costs if we meet the $50,000 goal! All funds go toward our local grant fund. The first grants from this fund, totaling $8,134 were awarded last year. We project we will be able to award over $10,000 in grants this year with all grants staying local to preserve our communities.
The OCCF board members have been very busy planning activities for February beginning with Coffee and Conversation mornings in several communities.
Join us at any of the following three locations:
- Downs on Feb. 6th at the Senior Center from 9-11 am
- Natoma on Feb. 8th at the French Press
- Osborne on Feb 13th at the Hideout Coffee House
This is a perfect opportunity to visit with your local representatives, get answers to any questions you have about the county foundation, and find out more about the 49 grants that have already been awarded in Osborne County!
Schools will again have a friendly coin jar competition as they compete for the honor of displaying the coveted “Love Your County” Campaign Plaque. The classroom raising the most funds per student will win a pizza party for the class.
Every penny counts towards a better future for Osborne County. Working together we can achieve more!
