When communities are considering a large project such as a new community building or a new swimming pool, project planners may wonder where to go for funding.
In Northwest Kansas, the Dane G. Hansen Foundation immediately comes to mind, but there are many other sources to consider for project support. Plus, grant applications to any funder are stronger when multiple funding sources are included.
Learn more about alternative funding options during a one-hour webinar on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at 6:30 p.m. “Looking Beyond Hansen for Funding” will be presented by Carol Sloper, grants coordinator for the Greater Northwest Kansas Community Foundation. With over 25 years of nonprofit experience, Sloper has raised more than $1.7 million in grants for Cheyenne County since 2015. She has extensive knowledge of private, community, government and corporate funding sources.
This free, online webinar will be offered using Zoom. Community groups working on a project can gather to participate in the webinar as a group, or individuals can join from the convenience of their own home computer or electronic device.
Register by June 1. To register, contact Nadine Sigle, K-State Research and Extension’s Northwest Kansas community vitality extension associate, at email@example.com. The Zoom link will be emailed upon registration.
